Slumber Party
Leslie had her very first sleepover last night. Her little friend Madison came to play and stay the night. They played dress up, swam in the kiddie pool, jumped on the trampoline, played on the swing set, drove their jeep around and watched a movie. Wheww! I am exhausted! They had a lot of fun. I really need to buy a trundle for her twin daybed because the girls were a little long to sleep at each end of the bed. Apparently it worked last night, but I know next time they will be entirely too big.

Rockband Star!
As most of you know, we have the awesome game called Rockband for the XBox 360. It comes with a guitar, microphone, and a drum set. It is a blast to play. No, we do not know or recognize half of the songs, but it is still fun and a challenge to play. I have to admit I am in love with playing the drums. I remember watching my big brother play his real drum set in complete amazement as I grew up. Honestly, I still love to watch him play the game as well! I am not so sure of this, but I believe my son might feel the same way about me. Hee hee. We actually fight over who gets to play the drums first...jk. He loves them as well and is getting really really good at them. He consistently scores in the 70 or above percentile (how many notes he hit correctly) and his highest score was an 88 note streak! He is impressive to watch play for a six year old! Granted he is playing on the easy level, but don't let that fool ya. It is still hard. Yesterday he decided he would try to play a song on the medium level. My mouth dropped as he played and hung in. That is the level I am currently on! It was awesome. I don't know, but we may have a drummer on our hands. He is our Rockband Star!

How In The World?
Yesterday morning I was sitting here at the computer doing our daily bills and looked over at Leslie as she was reaching to see in a high drawer to pick out a movie. As I scanned over, I noticed her toes. She had them curled under and standing on them! I was in shock! Now I did see her doing this about a month ago, when my mom brought it to my attention. I really paid no extra attention to it. I figured my mom and dad were amazed how she can stand on her very tip toes. However, this is not her tip toes, she actually has them bent under and putting weight on them. You will see in one picture, she can also place all of her weight on ONE foot doing this as well as walk on the tile floor. OUCH! DOUBLE OUCH! Her new trick last night is trying to do a cheerleading jump while on her toes. WOW. I always knew Leslie was very limber, but NOT THAT LIMBER!

In this photo she is actually on her tip toes....my little ballerina in the making.

Cheer Up!
Leslie cracks me up every day! Seriously, each day that passes she sends me to tears because she is growing so quickly and surprises me with the knowledge she has. Last night we watched ice skating on the TV and Leslie immediately fell in love. She got up and pretended she was ice skating; dancing and jumping around. At one point she stopped and came to me to see if I would sing a song for her to skate to and I said well if you will continue to play. She replied, "It will be my pleasure." I died laughing. Where in the world did she hear that? Where does she pick up on things like that? Leslie continued to dance around until bedtime and amazed us with her athleticism and limberness. While I laid in bed with her she stated that she was ready to be a big girl now and did not want to be a little girl anymore. Yes she said those exact words! I teared up and she knew it. She said, "Cheer up Mommy". Again, I was amazed at her vocabulary. She said, "Cheer up means to be happy, not sad!" I laughed and explained that I was sad because she is already growing so fast. Needless to say, I laid there staring and crying at Leslie while she drifted off to sleep.

What Happens in Fredericksburg.....
I feel refreshed and renewed this week! Three of my friends and I spent two nights in Fredericksburg this last weekend. Man, I have not had that much fun in a very long time. We shopped, laughed, shopped, and laughed some more. We got to eat out for every meal, which I love because I hardly ever get to eat a nice restaurant anymore. We stayed at an old bed and breakfast close to town. It was like staying in a grandma's house. It was built in the 40s and had wooden floors along with 10 doors......yes, I said 10 outside doors. We thought that was interesting and quite scary! When we first arrived to the house the air was turned on 80 degrees so we cranked it down and the house just would not cool. I thought "Great! What a way to start the weekend" You see I am the one that found this place and if we have no air then I will never hear the end of it. After an hour or so, I called the owner and explained what was going on. Luckily when we returned from dinner it was fixed and cooling down. However the girls immediately started "lock down" and pushed chairs against the doors and placed blankets over the windows. I really got a kick out of that! Awwww .......dinner. We ate at Mamacitas and had fajitas, chips and queso. It was wonderful and a hoot. We had quite a conversation and we laughed and laughed! There was not a whole lot of sleeping that night. I felt like we had a slumber party! The next day we hit downtown and shopped until our legs ached. We actually found some great deals on jewelry and gifts for the kids. This leads me to the funny story of the entire weekend. While in a store shopping I had to go to the bathroom. I saw a man waiting next to the only door that read "bathroom" and saw that it was indeed an unisex bathroom. So I shopped a bit more while waiting. Once I saw a line developing I decided to wait by the door. I really had to "go"! One of my friends waited with me to keep me company. We waited, waited, and waited. Finally my friend knocked on the door. A young girl opened the door and said "There is one stall open" and took me inside the bathroom to show me the stall. I was in shock that there were two stalls in a unisex bathroom and decided to check the other stall to see if my friend could come in as well. By this time she really needed to go too! The stall door was not locked so I yanked the door open to find a man standing and wiping his butt! I was horrified and screamed. Needless to say, it was obviously the man that was standing and waiting before me, but sadly and luckily I did not see his face! I saw EVERYTHING BUT HIS FACE! Yuck.....DOUBLE YUCK! I went ahead and did my business (in which the girls thought that was hilarious with the man in the stall right next to me) and ran out. I told my friend that was still waiting I had to go and leave that store immediately. I did not want to see that man again! Oh, how we laughed and giggled over this story all weekend long. The next night we slept much better because we were all so exhausted. On Sunday we got up and hit the Wildseed Farms and more shops. We arrived home at 7:00 that night. We all had so much fun and plan on doing this every year!

Fun at Grandma's Pool
On the 5th of July we went to Grandma and Papa's house for a fun get together. Aunt Sister and the girls were there along with Phil, Holly and their family. It was loads of fun and boy did Papa and Grandma put on a spread. The food was absolutely awesome and the kids swam so much. I just love being around family! Here are some pics:

Thank you Mamma and Daddy for a great day!

Back on the 4th of July
Okay, I tried to blog about the fourth about a week ago and I had problems with my Internet. So here I am to catch up. This is very aggravating because I had already typed all of this up, but it did not post! Argg! On the fourth we went to Waco to watch the firework display. We originally had plans to stay home and pop our own, but Les and the kids couldn't wait and popped them earlier that week. We had fun in Waco though. It had been a while since we watched a big show and the kids certainly enjoyed it. Matt, Mindy and their kids met us there. Leslie liked the music and danced the entire time. Here are some pics. I tried to do a slide show, but I will have to get directions from Cheri again on how to do that. I feel half way proud I was able to just sit here and type really!

I'm Baaaack!
Okay, Okay I am officially a blogger slacker! It has been almost a month since my last post and I feel awful about it. The month of June has just flown by like dust in the wind! Now we are already in the month of July! WoWza! Well here is a really quick recap on the happenings in June. We went camping at Lake Whitney for about 4 days, then went back the very next weekend for fun on the lake with Phil and Holly in their boat. Leslie and I attended Cheer camp hosted by the Clifton high school cheerleaders and had a ton of fun. June flew by and I had to change my schedule due to Nolan being home from school. So needless to say I do not get to sit at the computer much. But I have worked a way with the kiddos.............so I am back!
